From the School
Nantahala School is known for its unique nature as a true community school.
Nantahala School is a unique "gem" of a school located in the Nantahala Community of Western North Carolina. It is one of the few remaining K-12 schools left in the state of North Carolina. Because of its geographic isolation the enrollment is small across 13 grade levels. However the educational offerings and student achievement are consistently ranked in the top percentages in the region and state. Nantahala School is the epitome of the saying "dynamite comes in small packages".
