From the School
Woody Gap School is the smallest public school in Georgia.
Located in the scenic area of Suches the historic main building of Woody Gap School was constructed in 1940 as a Works Progress Administration project to consolidate the area church schools. Woody Gap School now enjoys additional modern structures including a gymnasium on its 17-acre campus which also includes a heritage homesite trout stream tennis courts two playgrounds and ball fields. Woody Gap School is the location of the Indian Summer Festival held the first full weekend in October.
